I have been a care giver for over 10 years since returning home to Singapore to look after my Mum and Dad. Mum passed away 3 years ago after kidney failure and going through a year of dialysis. Dad is 85 this year and bedridden for over 4 years. In care giving for my parents I noticed inefficiencies in supplies, knowledge, training, financial support etc, and started a entity to solve some of the in efficiencies and to try and help Caregivers in a small way. In the 10 years of Care Giving, I walk with my parents through every step of their ageing process and I have learnt a lot and made mistakes. I have a personal mission to share my knowledge about ageing, tips for the caregivers, harmony at home, active ageing. I have been giving talks at the nursing homes & institutions, door-to-door helping the Elderly and Caregivers avoid some of the mistakes and cope with the pressures of work, care giving and also raising a family.
