Google Home is great complement for information/ entertainment. As of 31 Jan 2020, it can play YouTube Music. Set YouTube Music as the default player. Here are the steps:

Google Home can be used to play podcasts. Examples include BBC (limited). Note all programs but News, Business Daily will work. Just say "Ok Google, play Business Daily BBC podcast", "Ok Google, play Newshour BBC podcast". Other good podcasts include The Economist "Ok Google, play The Economist Radio podcast". Straits Times subscribers will be also to listen to news "Ok Google, listen to news from The Straits Times".
Check your schedule "Ok Google, what's my next appointment".
If you have Duo setup, you will be able to make calls to other Duo subscribers. You can also call your Google Home device.
Setup routines. There are some that are preset e.g. “OK Google, good morning,” your Assistant can tell you about the weather, play music or news, readout your schedule, expected commute time and more. Setup using Google Home app.
Check the time, day of the week, date e.g. "Ok Google, what is the day of the week". Get weather information e.g. "Ok Google, will it rain today?", "Ok Google, what is the temperature?", "Ok Google, what is the humidity?". Get information e.g. "Ok Google, spell XXXX". "Ok Google where is XXXX?". "Ok Google, what is XXXX?".
Add another user:
Using Google Home app, add other users to Google Home. They will need to customize their voice. Google Home will customize based on voice recognition.
