Is that time of the year again, where the top handset manufactures took to stage at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona to announce their flagship smartphone that will soon hit the market.

Here are some of the notable smartphone that were announced at MWC......

 

Samsung Mobile

Samsung the bigwigs at MWC flexed its muscles by having the most lavish unboxing event to announce their next range of Galaxy device Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.

Samsung Galaxy S7 key notable specifications are:

  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow software
  • 5.1-inch screen with 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution
  • Either 32 or 64GB of storage, depending on the region
  • MicroSD card slot for extra storage up to 200GB
  • 12-megapixel camera (get the story below)
  • Water-resistant (IP68 rating)
  • 3,000 mAh battery

 

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge key notable specifications are:

  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow software
  • Size: 5.5-inch screen with 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution
  • Either 32 or 64GB of storage, depending on the region
  • MicroSD card slot for extra storage (up to 200GB)
  • 12-megapixel camera
  • 3,600mAh battery
  • Water-resistant (IP68 rating)

LG Mobile

Not to be left behind, LG announced its next flagship model LG G5 at MWC.  LG G5 is the first mainstream smartphone to support modular component, where you are able to attached component such as a camera grip called the LG Cam Plus, which also adds additional 1100mAh battery horsepower to the handset.

Sony Mobile

Sony Mobile announced 3 smartphone at MWC and they are Xperia X Performance, Xperia X and Xperia XA. Once again Sony emphasis were on their faster & better camera, and along with long lasting battery as being a core strengths of their Xperia X Series of smartphones.

Xiaomi

Xiaomi one of the biggest smartphone maker from China made its debut at MWC to announces its next flagship, the Mi 5, where two key handset at Mobile World Conference were announced and they are Mi 5 & Mi 5 Pro.

Xiaomi Mi5 Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro has a 3D ceramic back rounded edges that make it easy to hold and gives the phone more premium finish when compared to Mi 5. The pro series also has higher RAM of 4GB along with storage capacity of variant of 128GB, otherwise the rest of the features are the same as Xiaomi Mi 5.

My vote goes to Samsung with their S7 and S7 Edge. I'm getting the S7 Edge personally, but only in April due to contract issue. It might be too late to write a review by then, *hinting StarHub*
