do you know which hdmi cable was used by starhub? many starhub subscriber encounter same problem.
The working HDMI cable that Starhub fixed for me is a grey color HDMI cable from DAIYO.

Hi I have a problem with intermittent distortion of the picture or sudden blackout of tv. Sometimes when I switch the HDMI port of TV, the problem would be resolved.
Got starhub to come down and they replaced a setup box. And the problem continued. Got my TV guy to come down and it was not the TV as such problem did not occur with blu-ray player or other HDMI devices.
I also switched to the daiyo gray HDMI cable and the problem persisted.
May I know if this is likely to be the setup box issue. can i request for another setup box?
Pls lah, go and get a better HDMI cable, as it is long term use (some are gold contact)
Quality of the HDMI cable do affect distortion &or audio, as all-in cable.
For HDMI, there are 2 resolutions.
The Starhub staff came, actually for Broadband issue, and this distortion appear.
He explained to me on the correct resolation for HDMI, 1080i & 570i
Then i told him i was uing 570i setting since it was done by previous technician.
After he did the setting to 1080i the problem resolved.
Note: Partly because the Set-top box is in HD format, possible 1080i
