Porting number from Starhub to another telco

My contract ends on Jan 2, 2018 (Tue), and I read in this forum that I should only initiate the porting one day after the contract ending date so to avoid early termination charges.

 

My question is, what's going to happen on Jan 3, 2018? Will my line still be active? Will Starhub charge me for staying with them for a few days more before the porting is completed?

Take note that Dec 30, Dec 31 and Jan 1 are public holidays, and I'll not be in the country from Jan 2~9 for a short trip.

Hi chaoszcat, yes the line will be active and you'll be charged a pro-rated amount for the days out of contract that you used.
