Double charge after Transfer of Ownership

Good day,

I'm not sure why am i being charged twice for the date (01/05/15 - 20/05/15)

I've paid my bills in full before i did the transfer of ownership.

 

 

Previous Account Number : X.xxxxxxxxX

 

Date of Bill : 22/03/15       3G SmartSurf 300

(20/03/15 - 19/04/15)      Total Current Charge $xx.xx - Paid in full

 

Date of Bill : 22/04/15       3G SmartSurf 300

(20/04/15 - 19/05/15)      Total Current Charge $xx.xx - Paid in full

 

 

And i did the transfer of ownership on 30 April 2015, which me and my friend have had waited for 3 hours for our turn at NEX.

 

New Account Number : X.xxxxxxxxX

 

Date of Bill 22/05/15        3G SmartSurf 300

(01/05/15 - 03/05/15)    Pro Rated $x.xxxx

 

Recontract                       4G 3

(04/05/15 - 19/05/15)    Pro Rated $xx.xxxx

(20/05/15 - 19/06/15)    Monthly charges $xx.xxxx

 

 

I don't understand why do i have to pay extra $x.xxxx + $xx.xxxx for the period (01/05/15 - 19/05/15)?

Whilst, I had already paid in full $xx.xx for (20/04/15 - 19/05/15) , before I did the transfer of ownership, which is a requirement to clear the bill in order to do the transfer. 

 

In fact, I should get a refund on pro-rated basis (about $xx.xxxx) for the period (01/05/15 - 19/05/15) before you charge me another $x.xxxx + $xx.xxxx. Am i correct? Please kindly check and advise, and update the bill accordingly. Thank you.

Your FINAL Bill will be the last with Pro Rated.

This may not easy to explain, but using your chart;

 

My explaination could be hard &or difficult to understand (my poor) English.

Instead, you can rely on the 2 Remarks, regarding to your last 2 paragraphs of your post.

Remarks.

The reason that for any Telco on Transfer of Ownership, the existing Owner had to make his or her last know bill to settle in full.

This is to avoid any future issue regarding payment, ownership, etc.

Remarks.

The amount on  $xx.xxxx  is based on FRIEND NEW plan "4G 3", not your plan.

The Refund will be stated on your next last & FINAL Bill.

The actual Subscription amount to be prorated and will be stated in the last & Final bill.

Any other additional VAS will also be pro rated accordingly.

This amount may be forward to another accounts, if any, accordingly to your NRIC.

For your    3G SmartSurf 300     Total Current Charge $xx.xx 

 

Your Billing Cycle is from  20/04/15 - 19/05/15

Current Bill is  $xx.xx

 

As the transfer of ownership on 30 April 2015 

Then you will be charged for the period 20/4/15 to 30/4/15

 

Your pro rated bill amount should be based on 20/4 to 30/4 =  11 days.

Calculation   Using your Friend prorated amount of 3 days is $x.xxx / x = $x.xxxx

Your usage period will be $x.xxxx x 11 days =  $xx.xxxx

 

So your pro rated amunt to be returned to you will be   $xx.xx  -  $xx.xx  =  $xx.xx  Estimate

 

NOTE.  3G SmartSurf plan 300  is less than  the total charge of $xx.xx

The Additional Amount means you have some VAS inclusive.

My Calculation may not be accurate, as i did not take the additional VAS.

That is the reason i based on your Friend using your plan for 3 days to prorated.

All the additional VAS will be prorated too.  Your amount could be different my estimate.

Note that Friend account has (total 3 amounts) that Friend has to pay by due date

Explaination on the 3 separated amount.

1)  $x.xxxx     Starhub Account required 3 days to take into effect on the NEW PLAN  4G-3

                       So, Friend plan for these 3 days will be based on YOUR Old plan  3G-SmartSurf-300.

2)  $xx.xxxx   This is the prorated amount for Friend NEW Plan 4G-3  start from 4/5/15 to 19/5/15

3)  $xx.xxxx   This is the standard monthly subscription and any VAS may yet to be bill.

Do you mean that you need a separate Account numbers for one mobile line.

 

Example.

I had 4 mobile lines in ONE Account.

I call the CS and requested to separate all the 4 mobile lines, each mobile line one Account.

(As this is so that my others lines were used by another 3 friends)

(There is one issue, because the GST is the last amount.)

On receiving all 4 bills, there was a pro rated amount indication the billing cycle period.

Just that I'm the one holding X.xxxxxxxxX, and my friend is X.xxxxxxx4T

 

 

Now, my friend sent me this : There is a -$xx.xx with X.xxxxxxxxX !!!

 

So how do we get the refund? Smiley Indifferent

 

Can any StarHub staff just please help and get the refunded amount transfer from old account X.xxxxxxxxX to new account X.xxxxxxxxX? This is getting very tedious! Smiley Frustrated

As for your excess (credit) amount in Your FINAL bill, the refund will be in the following manner;

 

1)  If you have another account with Starhub, the refund amount will be transfer to your other Account which must be in Your Name & NRIC.

 

2)  If you made payment by;  (i) credit card, it may be refund to that particular Credit card account,

                                              (ii) GIRO, then refund will be deposit in that particular bank GIRO.

                                              (iii)  CASH or any other means, the refund amount will be by CHEQUE                                                            under your name. Will send to your "billing' address.

 

Note:  

A) The refund amount cannot go to another name "Friend" (include other member of your family) ,  only in Your Name & NRIC.

B)One of the reason is same as why you need to pay any outstanding amount at the point  when you do the  "Transfer of Ownership".

"This is to avoid any future issue regarding payment, ownership".

 

Note:  Starhub may change this policy or not.

 

This is applicable to most companies dealing with refund money.

Thanks for helping out to escalate the issue.

I just realize that I had missed a phone call from StarHub 6809700 two days ago.

I didn't expect that I will get a call from StarHub at night time, about 10pm.

 

Can you please help and update me what the status now and how will the refund be done?
