Starhub TV (fibre) NO SIGNAL FOUND Error Code 2001

Hi,

unnamed.jpegI'm seeing the Error 2001 on my starhub fiber tv connection. How do i reach out to the support ?

Try to do these simple task on troubleshooting.

 

FIrst, do power off the IPTV Set-top box and any devices connected to it, such as TV.

Behind the IPTV do check the LAN cable is securely connected to the network, or remove and re-insert, if nec.

At the ONT, which is connected to the TP, ensure the LAN cable is securely connected to the ONT Port-2 only for IPTV, or remove and re-insert, if nec.

Ensure the LAN cables that connect to the data point on the walls, if any, are good and secured.

Do check and remove & re-insert, if nec.

 

Finally power on the IPTV Set-top box and connected devices, TV.

At the ONT, the green indicator light of the Port-2 should be flashing which mean the connection is active when the IPTV is power on.

The Clock on the IPTV should show the correct time upon connected correctly.

Should both the ONT Port-2 has no indication and the clock of the IPTV is still remain all zeros, then it mean the connection to network failed.

 

Should you are still unable to resolve, do write to forum staff to assist you.

Please submit and provide with the following information;

hi, I am seeing exactly the same error and I have tried all the below basic troubleshouting steps that you gave. The clock continues to show 8:00 everytime I try to restart and the network led keeps blinking. This was all good and working until this morning and I started seeing the issues when I switched the tv on this evening.

Please help to get this resolved.

Hi Star Hub,

 

similar issue for me also and I am unable to view any channels due to Error 2001 on my starhub TV set top box using fiber optic.

Tried powering on / off few times for the set-top-box and also TV but no use..

 

This happened after a relocation and when the technician visit to activate services TV was not around. Later when the TV arrived and i intended to ON set top box hit with error 2001 No Signal. Also noticed set top box displaying incorrect time starts with 08:00

 

Power - Green light

Network - Red light

 

Please help me ASAP since I have tried voice customer care support but no use even after 30mins for few times, the IVR prompts all our customer care consultants still busy.

 

Please do something useful and fix the problem.

Hi  grsekar2003,

 

Which Set top box are you referring to, see list > Set-Top Box

 

If your Set top box (STB) is either model  GX-SH435EH  or  GX-SH530IP  which are IPTV.

 

The connection should be from ONT Port-2 via ethernet cable RJ45 to STB "IPTV" connector.

For the diagram please refer to the end of the manual of the link above.

Once the above setup is done, the ONT Port-2 indicator will flash to show it has connection.

If there is still no light indication, please write to forum staff to check on your status, see below.

 

Please do note that it cannot be pass thru router for Starhub IPTV STB.

And ONT Port-1 is for access to internet, while ONT Port 3 & 4 are null.

If you STB is not IPTV then it is Cable STB connection via cable coaxial cable.

Hi there, I am experiencing the same problem since yesterday. What seems to be the problem? I tried doing all the steps mentioned but to no vail.
