Hi, just wanna check, I recently just upgraded to the Home Hub 100.
But my modem is pretty old. So I did a look up on the internet that says it has only the ability to get up to 38mbps up and downstream. Modem model is SB5101.
Would I need to purchase a new modem from you guys to support the new speed that I've upgraded as the speed that I've upgraded to is 100mbps?
You need to get an approved cable modem capable of 100Mbps but there are only 3 choices:
Personally, I would rank them in descending order of preference:
1) Motorola SB6120 (probably have to get used from gumtree or other classifieds)
2) D-Link DCM-712
3) Cisco DPC3925
The MAC ID of the device will has to be registered on our system.
