Re: EZ link sim

Hi  @maxyeo

Have you get the NFC SIM card, not normal SIM card.

Visit those Starhub shops (in previous posts).

This NFC SIM card is chargeable.

The cost will be $26.75 charges (to the bill) for replacement.

Your other thread on SIM card issue, are you referring to NFC SIM card.

As i had mentioned, NFC SIM card is chargeable, in that thread /post.

Re: EZ link sim

Regarding to EZ-Link on NFC SIM card.

Beside SmartWallet, there is another EZ-Link apps, which i had downloaded both apps.

1.  Go to phone Setting -> NFC Card -> Activate.

2.  Ensure you have internet access &or wifi connection, which is required.

3.  Click on the  EZ-Link  app.

4.  You need to  ACTIVATE  create a user. Just follow the steps on the ez-link.

As i had activated, so it is quite simply.

5.  It may assign a ez-link card number (same set of number as normal ez-link card with number)

6.  Once compeleted, the rest is smooth.

7.  Open the  EZ-Link  app.

8.  Touch on the  "Manage your NFC SIM Card".

9.  Once inside, there are several options.

10.  Do the  Top-Up  option first

11.  On this "One Time Top-Up" there is the ez-link purse number being assigned, when you activate.

12.  The rest follow the 'wizard'.  The top-up may required credit/debit Card.

13.  Once top-up and stated in the app, you can try to go to any MRT station with Top-Up Machine to use your phone NFC and need to open the EZ-Link app. The Machine will indicated the same amount you have top-up.

Before using it, do activate this  EZ-Link app first.

Do note on the window period which will auto cut-off.

Before tap out, do activate this EZ-Link app again.

Make sure there is a internet connection is available, turn on.

I have not fully tested it by actual using it yet.

That's all.

Re: EZ link sim

Hi Eric,

Thanks for sharing.  Can I check does that means Everytime I wanna tap I have to open the app?  That's also applicable to starhub smart wallet?

Apologies first time using.  Thought it just simply tap the phone will do

Re: EZ link sim

Hi  @Elias

Yes.

You need to turn on mobile data and open the Smart Wallet or EZ-Link apps.

Either Starhub Smart Wallet or EZ-Link apps required active connection.

Do remember to turn on the NFC in the setting, before tapping.

It is doing it "live", such as deducting the wallet balance and updating.

This is why you need to be connected to any Telcos /ISP.

For Starhub prepaid, it is not applicable.

But maybe available for other Telcos, please do confirm with the ISP.

You can give a try at any MRT stations with the Top-up Machine.

I had tested mine, but still hesitated to use, yet.

Unless if all my ez-links cards failed, &or balance amount is too low.
