MaxMobile Elite 6GB

test 1.PNG

Hi guys,

as mentioned in Starhub website,  the MaxMobile Elite 6GB gives

Up to 300Mbps

Theoretical download speed

30 – 120Mbps

Typical download speed range.

Currently, I am having the MaxMobile Elite 6GB plan with Huawei mobile wifi E5776s.

However shown in the picture above, I couldn't obtain such speed even with the good reviews of Huawei mobile wifi E5776s.

Is this because of the location issue or the device issue?

Hello @kang86

Are you receive full signal bar on your Huawei Modem when you performed the speed test? The quality of the signal strength will effect the speed.

We recommend that you check out this YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWiHj6nCxsY on how to perform your speed test.

Thank you

This is what i get from the mobile broadband. It's typically at this speed
which is not similar to the speed as mentioned in the max mobile elite 6GB
plan.

Re: MaxMobile Elite 6GB

Are you using Ookla speedtest app.

Then maybe you may be better to switch to Server.

After the speedtest, go to  "Settings"  on the bottom.

At the setting page, on the top right "Change server"

Then look for  "Starhub Mobile Pte Ltd"

Finally, mark as favourite, meaning it will only use this server for all speedtest.

I am not sure this may help or not.

Anyway, try to see the result of the speedtest.

If possible, try to do speedtest on different timing & location.

Or if you are having difficulties in connect, do the speedtest.

Check results.

In this way, Starhub may have to improve &or do something, on their network.

Re: MaxMobile Elite 6GB

I tried using your solution. But the speed still kept below 2Mbps. Is it because it's is using 3G instead of 4G?

Re: MaxMobile Elite 6GB

Hi @kang86

Highly possible that the speed is effected as you're on 3G. Are you able to PM us your account details so that we can help to look into your account.

Thank you
