Career as an illustrator: a good choice as a profession?

Having a career as a freelancing illustrator doesn’t just involve drawing using tools and software’s. You need to be able to promote yourself as an illustrator, handle your social media accounts, contact directors, track your income and expenses and maintain regularity of work while getting paid for your work. It needs effort and patience to establish but have an advantage once established as a renowned illustrator.

You could be hired as an illustrator for having a children’s book illustration styles. Drawing and creativity is not something taught by a tutor, it is you who have creativity within yourself that can be brought out with practice and will to be better at being imaginative. There is no standard path that you can follow to become an illustrator. You can find hundreds of books to get better at illustrations but practice is what you require to be the best.
