I love the end of the year with all the decorations and parties being organized around StarHub. But the one thing I really do enjoy are all the presents so “hint hint” to all StarHubbers- I really like chew toys that look like hotdogs and milk bone snacks. I also know that during this period, a lot of you are thinking of getting your family a pet as a present…maybe that pet is a dog. Although I have found my forever home at StarHub, there are many dogs out there who are unwanted or mistreated, and they are waiting for some kind people to turn their luck and lives around.
Maybe this is the season to help out one of my doggie brothers and sisters who haven’t been well taken care of and give them a home where they can be loved. If you are looking to adopt and save lives here are some pups who are up for adoption this season!
This is Sailor who was recently at Sentosa having popcorn and watching movies. Can you believe this cute face hasn’t found a family yet? If you feel that she might be a perfect addition, she’s at SOSD which is located in Pasir Ris so if you live in the East side it’s a convenient trip to make. You can also volunteer or foster rescue dogs and even sponsor a pup located at the shelter. For details, visit their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SOSDSingapore/
Or you can also check out their website: https://sosd.org.sg/
Mako is an adorable and patient dog who was bailed out from the AVA earlier this year by Exclusively Mongrels Limited. His good temperament and ability to make friends with other dogs like me means he’s a perfect addition to your family. I had a doggie chat with him and it seems he’s been a bit sad because he wants to be a part of a family. Make him smile again by contacting Exclusively Mongrels limited on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/exclusivelymongrels/

Finally, here’s Wanda! Her rescue team at Gentle Paws call her Wonder Girl…and I can see why! She enjoys modelling especially to promote her 2018 calendar. She’s told me that all funds will be contributed to the welfare and medical cost of all dogs at the shelter. Please find out more about the other dogs who can be adopted or need medical attention at the Gentle Paws facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GentlePaws/
They also have a blog telling the story of the dogs living there : https://gentlepaws2010.blogspot.sg/
I hope that someone will make their Christmas wish come true! If you have any suggestions of places to adopt dogs or volunteer at in Singapore, please write them in the comments below! If you think there are other pets I should mention and ask for them to get adopted, do write in the comments as well.
Hope you can Suppawt my furry brothers and sisters!
