My aunt and I live together and she has been thinking of porting her mobile line over from another Telco, is it possible for her to do that but under my Homehub 1000 plan instead of having her own contract?
There is a need to do 2 parts.
That is Porting and Change of Ownership.
Either parts can be done first.
But do ensure when porting there is no existing contract not completed as it will be considered as Termination, with charges.
And when doing porting, do not cancel or terminate at the existing Telco.
Just visit any Starhub branch to do the porting as new sign-up.
Telco will handle among themselves on the procedure as Customer signature is required with original NRIC.
Change of ownership can be done either at the existing Telco or incoming Telco.
There are fees in the Transfer of Ownership, usually about $21.40 if there are no changes.
Usually Transfer of Ownership the Transferee has to be present, with original NRIC.
This is depend on your convenience.
Lastly you can add the mobile line to your existing account, if you decide so.
