I bought a iphone from the starhub partner outlets.
Just want to check if I going overseas and want to use that country sim card, is the phone locked to the starhub?

Thanks

Re: Is our iphone locked?

Hi,

Under IDA regulation, Telco and Retailers are not allowed to lock the phone to the Telco when sold here locally.

Not sure on other import or export model.

Do note that there will be Telco Apps in the phone as it is pre-loaded.

This is not "locked" feature which oversea Telco may claimed to be.

Please do take note on the warranty as it is best to consult Apple directly on this matter.

i am not starhub staff.

Re: Is our iphone locked?

I don't think the iPhones bought from authorised means (i.e. telco and telco partners) are telco locked. No issues with buying a local sim card and using them on ur iPhone. Have tried that for many countries.

the iphones are not locked. you'll be able to use other countries SIM card in the iPhone. I've used the SIM cards from many countries previously.

Re: Is our iphone locked?

you are able to use other country’s sim card, buying a phone from starhub doesnt mean you can only use their sim card.
