Re: port forwarding

If you are using Dlink DIR-868L, goto advance tab and port forwarding.

key in the IP adddress of your camera and port number can remain the same as what you have key in before.

Hope it help.

Re: port forwarding

i checked the previous port numbers, 80 & 88, it did not work.

I used canyouseeme to check on port open status, no success

Please advise which ports are opened for me to use

Re: port forwarding

Beside port forwarding tab, you also need to do the same setting in virtual server too.

My CCTV camera is working well by doing below setting.

24 - VIRTUAL SERVERS LIST

24 -- PORT FORWARDING RULES

Re: port forwarding

Are using IP camera or analog camera?

What is your camera brand?

Re: port forwarding

both my cameras are IP.

Brand is AVTECH, the manufacturer host their own DDNS server, thus i only need port forwarding at my router end.

I have pinged the ddns names and i get reply from my router WAN address

Re: port forwarding

do a test by connect your camera to router and see whether can your see your camera in local network.

If yes then is port forwarding issue.

If you want to change the port number, make sure your camera and router setting is the same.

You can change any number you wish, i had change mine from port 80 to port 1026.

Also check your ip address, for Dlink router, it should 192.168.0.1

from the camera manual it show that it is 192.168.1.1

You can download the manual from below link too.

http://www.avtech.com.tw/NetworkCamera.aspx

Hope it help.

Re: port forwarding

Hi I can view the camera locally via the router, as my cameras are connected directly to the router. I have changed my cameras ip address to .0.125 & .0.126 It is the port forwarding issue as the ports are all blocked !
