Re: Where to find information about Direct ONT

I tried searching the Starhub website but it returns a lot of community pages which I'm not sure which one is the most up-to-date and authentic one.

I would like to know how to request to switch to Direct ONT? what's the cost? how's the process go? how long it would take? what's need to be done on my side to complete the switch? any special configuration need to be done on my router?

Re: Where to find information about Direct ONT

Starhub ONT is already direct.

Hence you can use any router to plug to ONT Port 1.

Do take note to do factory reset for used router.

As most router do retained previous IP.

This is to ensure the IP assigned to you is according to your plan.

I am not starhub staff.

Re: Where to find information about Direct ONT

I just renew my contract recently, and when the Starhub technician drop by to attempt to install the new router Direct ONT way (without the existing bridging routers), it did not work and the technician confirm that Direct ONT was not enabled. Thus his advised me to contact Starhub again for Direct ONT information.
