I'm facing problem with this new router.
I am experiencing disconnection and very bad signal strength even when my device is right beside the router (1bar-3bar).
I just got it on 8th Jul 2015 from the Hub Trooper at my house, and I have been facing issue with the router since yesterday.
And now, i'm back to using DIR 865L.
I've called Dlink support and they deem my device defective and I have to go down to the service centre for an exchange.
Is is possible for Starhub to send me a replacement to my house?
If this problem occurs months after using it, i am fine with going down to the service centre.
But it is only 3 days and I have to go down to service centre for this???
I even thought my parents did something on their device until I checked it out.
It is really very bad. What's worst is that I have to go down to the service centre despite it not being my fault at all.
Problem is I got no problem with 865L.
This is what I did,
I simply power up 868L without any cable from the ONT.
I still get very low signal from the router itself.
This is definately a router problem. But who knows there is an issue on Starhub side too?
The Hub Trooper spent quite sometime getting the 868L to work with the ONT.
Hi, suggest u rma ur 868L.. and get a refurbished one (supposedly tested by D'Link) instead of a new one to minimise possibility of getting another lemon which is highly possible. I had rma twice, last 868L was a 3rd one (refurbished; 2nd one was new but also problematic) over a couple of weeks. Third one was ok for a week and thereafter had issues of establishing connection with ONT, persistent orange globe led; currently using Asus.
Thot of storing 868L away with the other subpar routers that I'v got (DPC3925 and D'Link5402), but after configuring it into repeater mode, it is performing alright - perhaps lesser stuff to load and run as a repeater.
Hey did you try the trick of cleaning the wifi adapter of the DPC3925
