Newly Upgraded to Homehub1000: Intermittent Connection

Hi.

 

I just upgraded tp Homehub1000 fibre Monday night and I've been experiencing fluctuations in my connection since. I called 1633 last night but even when I troubleshoot by connect my computer directly to the modem, I'm still experiencing intermittent connection. The speed upgrade is not worth the constant disconnections. Pls advise.

Speedtested my connection last night and my max (whenever I'm lucky enough not to get disconnected during the test), is slightly above 100Mb/s. It seems that I'm not even getting expected speed to begin with. What's up?

Hi  @Sabigan

 

Try this method as to get another IP.

 

Switch off ONT (fibre modem) & Router; and turn off all the devices connection.

Wait a few minutes, then switch on the ONT first.

Wait about a minute for the green light on "PON" of the ONT is stable, then switch on the Router.

Wait till the router both power & wireless led are green stable.

Finally turn on the devices one by one, if possible, near to the router.

 

Do the speedtest using Starhub, by using the LAN cable from router to computer link; 

Starhub Local Speedtest

Starhub only accept speedtest on their website.

As other speedtest are using other server for speedtest.

 

If you had make some changes in the router setting.

Suggest you to reset the router setting by using a pin to press+hold the reset 'hole' for 15 seconds, before switching off the router.

 

I have no problem in the upgrade to 1Gbps, as i do not do any router & any other setting.

I do agree. It is worse than cable and the response from starhub is even worse
