What's the correct phone settings to use StarHub mobile service?

By default, phone settings on StarHub-issued handset are pre-configured to allow customers to immediately use the StarHub mobile service. However, phone configuration settings vary based on mobile phone brand, and SIM card type (e.g. postpaid, prepaid).
If you are having problems with your mobile network, your phone settings might not have the correct phone configuration settings. Below are the default configuration settings that need to be in place for your mobile phone using StarHub service to work.
StarHub Postpaid | StarHub Prepaid | |
SMS Centre Number | +6598540020 | +6598540020 |
MMS APN | shmms | shppd |
MMS Centre Number | http://mms.starhubgee.com.sg:8002/ | http://mms.starhubgee.com.sg:8002/ |
MMS Proxy | 10.12.1.80 | 10.12.1.80 |
Data Access Point Name (APN) | shwap | shppd |
How to update the configuration settings of your mobile device?
If you’re using an Apple device:
Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network

If you’re an Android user:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names, or
- Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names, or
- Alternatively, search for "Mobile Network" in your Settings.
