Happy Roam: Use your local Prepaid plans in Malaysia without incurring any data roaming charges!
Going to Malaysia? StarHub Mobile Prepaid is the first in Singapore to offer the Happy Roam service!
What you need:
All you need to do is to get a StarHub Prepaid Mobile SIM, which is available islandwide at:
- StarHub Shop
- Exclusive Partner Outlets
- Authorised StarHub dealers
- Cheers
- 7-Eleven
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Purchase & activate a StarHub Prepaid SIM
From the following:
- StarHub Shop
- Exclusive Partner Outlets
- Authorised StarHub dealers
- Cheers
- 7-Eleven
Step 2: Dial *123*5*2# to activate Data Roaming service.
Step 3: Dial *123*300# to select a Data Plan.
(From as low as $5 for a 1GB plan )
Customers can track data usage by dialing *123# or track through the StarHub Happy Prepaid Android or iOS app wherever they are.
Prepaid Data plans, for use in both Singapore and Malaysia, range from as low as $1 for 10MB for 7 days to $20 for 1.2GB for 30 days.
Customers can dial *123*300# for plan options.

Starhub website still shows:
9. Can Prepaid Data Plan packages be used while roaming?
No, packages cannot be used while roaming. If you have selected a Prepaid Data Plan package while roaming, you will still be charged at the prevailing data roaming charges for any data downloaded.
Likewise for all StarHub Prepaid services, we will not be able to refund any Prepaid Data Plan packages activated before and during roaming.
