Number porting to Starhub

I finished my contract Singtel and want to port to Starhub with the same number. I have done the necessary procedures and received the simcardand. However have not recieved, the sms thatI have successfully ported over(previous sms said would be done on the 29 a June) It is 30 June now and am still able to use my singtel data. Should I just stop all data from Singtel plan and the porting should be done? Not too sure what to do and wouldn't want to have a day without data if I cancel the Singtel and starhub has not ported my number, please advise thanks
