MondayMusic: Chill and Relaxing Songs to Listen Right Now
The world is facing a pandemic now, but there’s still so much to enjoy about this life. Yes, sometimes things can get a little tough and you might feel stressed, sad, anxious or pressured. There are different ways to battle your stress and depression in our current situation but listening to music is one of the best weapons that you have. So, sit back, relax and let these chill tunes calm and relax you down.
Strawberry Swing – Coldplay
Album: Viva La Vida (Prospekt's March Edition)
Genres: Brit Pop, Rock
Music does not have to be instrumental to be calming and soothing. Although this song has a slightly higher tempo and does not really promote relaxation so much as a feeling of contentment. But if you listen carefully to its lyrics it has a carefree vibe, and even the music video is fun to watch.
Don't Worry Be Happy - Bobby McFerrin
Album: Simple Pleasures
The title of the song “Don’t Worry Be Happy” is easier said than done. But this catchy song will give you the Last Song Syndrome once you listened to it. In case you don’t know, this is an acapella song, no instruments were used to record this. So yeah, stop thinking too much and try to stay happy despite our everyday problems.
Comethru - Jeremy Zucker
This song might be one of the most chill songs of all time. It has a cool acoustic tune which is about being alone and wanting someone to come over to keep him company. Moreover, it also expresses how it's totally fine to seek someone's company because sometimes we all feel alone.
What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
Album: What A Wonderful World
Genre: Traditional pop; Jazz
It has been more than 50 years since this song has been released but it has not lost even a bit of its momentum. Once you hear the intro of this song you won’t be able to stop yourself from swaying along to this song and forget about your problems. It’s indeed a feel-good song which serves its purpose.
Someone Like You – Adele
Everything about this song is said to be arranged to move its listeners to tears, according to scientists. [You might want to check out the reason here.] When you hear the chorus of this song, Adele’s voice belts out high notes which you might think isn’t really relaxing so why should this be song included here? Maybe at first, you cannot see why, but if you are highly stressed and needs to let it all out with a good cry then this is for you.
What about you? What are the songs that you listen to calm and relax you?
