Unable to get Wifi signal in the bedroom

Dear all,            Need help! I am under Starhub Fiber 200MPS plan. My TP, modem and router are in the Living Room. My bedroom is about 20 meters away and unable to receive any signal. I have tried to place a wifi repeater to no avail. My router is DLink DIR-865L. Thanks in advance.

Our contractor can help you with the installation. First point is $139.10 and subsequent point during the same visit is $107 each. Other charges will be quoted on site.

Seem like there is obstruction. Have you tried moving the router to a more centralised location?

Sadly the TP was installed in such a way with limited mobility. My place is longish by nature and the bedrooms are all the way to the back.

If that's the case, maybe you would like to consider installing data point.

When you are in your room, you are mainly using mobile devices?

Yes, we use mobile devices in the bedrooms... When you say data point, do you mean using cables to wire up the house?

Who can do it? And costs? Have you any recommendation?

Will the contractors conceal the cables? Don't want it to be unsightly. You have a contact number or email? Let's take this offline.

The easiest way to get better wifi signal is really raise the router to a higher position... you can easily test the reception by getting someone to hold the router higher (1.5-2m) above the floor will be very good, then test reception where signal is weak. If it works, then see how you can have it raised permanently.

I had the same issues when I had my 865. Through some recommendations & thumbs up from users, I got it too. No regrets. But this is only for desktops

I am interested in the cost to do structure cabling for my Starhub fibre.

Can you please inform me what other costs to quote on site?
