Landline call quality terrible with cable broadband TV Voice bundle

Got cable broadband bundle with TV and voice for landline phone. The quality of calls on the landline is awful. Phone is fully charged and works fine. Changed splitter as advised by Starhub support but that made no difference whatsoever. Even changed phone and problem persists. I am wondering if other cable users are experiencing same problem .
