StarHub Community welcomes its 1,000,000th unique visitor!
StarHub Community is ecstatic to welcome our millionth visitor, eeddwwiinn83. As a token of our heartfelt appreciation and pride, eeddwwiinn83 will walk away with a $300 Challenger voucher for asking a question about Samsung handsets.
Celebrating the arrival of the Community’s millionth visitor is a major milestone for us. The constant increase in visitors is a resounding endorsement of the efforts that StarHub is making to facilitate conversations with our customers. The Community has won industry recognitions including Gold, for best use of Brand Advocacy in Marketing Magazine’s Loyalty & Engagement Awards 2013 and Silver in the Marketing Excellence Award 2013 in Loyalty Marketing. In a survey that was done in Nov 2013 with over 2000 respondents, 8 in every 10 felt that with Starhub Community, StarHub now comes across as a more transparent and trustworthy service provider and brand as a whole.
It is important to remember that at the end of the day, beyond the glitz and glamour of awards and applause, that it is the Community members themselves who deserve the credit.
Many have spent thousands of hours online, helping others in not just customer service related matters, but sharing their passions, opinions, ideas and expertise. From these interactions, countless experts have emerged from the Community, such as the Android Expert, Windows Expert, Blackberry Expert and Home Networking Experts. In addition, our tech-savvy seniors, the Golden Gurus as well as our stunning Beauty Ambassadors have all contributed to the success of StarHub Community. And to give a fitting identity to these superusers, we’ve named them members of the Sparkler’s Club.
Besides serving as a hotbed for the sharing of ideas, expertise and troubleshooting assistance, StarHub Community also welcomes partnership with brands and organisations to bring benefits to the Community as well as champion the causes they believe in. In 2013, StarHub Community utilised Idea Exchange to garner ideas from the crowd on Active Aging for the UpSingapore Hackathon as well as NEA’s Clean and Green campaign. StarHub Community also partnered with different brands such as Kiehl's, to bring special promotions and expert advice onto the forums through blog articles. To those who were planning a holiday, StarHub community pooled itineraries from members on the best recommendations overseas.
