Feeling conned by Starhub
To Whom it concerns,
I hope this forum is the right one to bring justice.
I had been looking for broadband + cable TV packages and came across starhub promotion online. Package seemed suited for me and I went to Starhub to clarify on the contents provided for the Indian+ package. After the sales side had confirmed that I will be able to access the contents which I wanted, I took up 24 months contract.
But after installing the cable TV box, I couldn't access the contents. I called Starhub to check on why I cannot access the content and that it keeps saying that I'm not subscribe to it. To my despair, the customer service said that these contents are not available for the new box. I had communicated that I had took up 24 months contract just because of these contents Starhub had promised and now I am stuck for 24 months for something which is not included in the package...
I am not sure if this is a trick for Starhub to lure customers, but I believe they should be truthful to customers. If Starhub is not able to commit in providing the services then they shouldn't advertise in first place. I have been enduring a month plus for Starhub customer service to resolve my issue, but no one is addressing this.
If Starhub values their customer, they should do the right thing to resolve issues faced by customer rather than pointing fingers and blaming on the poor 'technical' issues.
Hoping that I get a fair judgement here.

Hi @AmeerKhan, we understand your sentiments, and please know that we value your feedback. Just to check, what contents are you unable to access? I've seen your comment in another thread claiming you weren't able to watch free-to-air channels, is that correct or there are other channels you can't access? We'd also like to apologise for the inconvenience of not being able to access certain channels.

Hi,
I have been complaining to starhub about their tendency to terminate certain channels that I have subscribe to long before my contract is due to end. They've done away with so many of my favourite channels and keep on doing this - giving stupid reasons like "due to commercial reasons". Maybe they can't pay for these channels anymore and so have decided to terminate them and stop airing them yet they penalize us if we are to terminate our contract before expiry date.
Starhub - you've done this with many of your channels in the recent past, haven't you? Its also very very difficult to get to speak with one of your customer services officers as your self select menu isnnot helful and after a really long wait - it cuts the call off.
I'm trying to ascertain where my subscription stands, now that you've taken away stargold and starplus and I can't even get to speak with any one of your agents.
Do you expect to stay in business long during these times of stringent competition from many other competiting options that customers have? In fact, you don't deserve to be in business much longer.
