DataTravel

I have just paid for a 3G DataTravel plan for 30 days.  This is my first time travelling overseas and being a senior citizen, I am not very tech savy.  My question is :

Do i have to turn on my data roaming on my hp in order to use my 3G DataTravel plan when I am in Thailand or I just leave my mobile data on without turning on the data roaming, as how I use it in Singapore?

Thank you.

Hi  @Meowy

Have you update My Starhub app on your phone, if not, do so before continue.

It is best to use My Starhub app to go to Roam Manager.

From here, do all the setting, such as;

Roaming data usage alerts; Manage roaming services; etc.

For under Manage VAS, do select your choice before Submit.

Do all the necessary setting before flying.

That is to activate roaming, and any other, where necessary.

Before boarding, do switch off the phone, final check on the setting are done.

It is best not to turn on the mobile data, as it will incur charges if any one of the apps activate by itself.

Upon arriving, then switch on the phone as it is able to detect the oversea Telco and hence oversea Telco could confirm with Starhub.

If i am you, do try to save all the necessary info on your phone, first.

As it is difficult to check as it required wireless &or mobile data charges.

For more info, do write to forum staff on your request &or questions.

Please submit and provide with the following information;

Registered subscriber name, NRIC/FIN number, Mobile number, and any other details;

PM @Jolene_L  or  Santosh Rai  to assist and look into your case on this matter

How to send a PM (Private Message) on StarHub Community?
